The only parking price Prudential Center publishes in Newark is zero dollars
Prudential Center names four parking lots around its Newark arena, gives each one a street address, and attaches a dollar figure to none of them. The single parking price on the arena’s own page is complimentary, it belongs to BMW owners, and it is redeemed one block away on Green Street.

Four parking lots are listed with street addresses on prucenter.com and, as of September 2026, Prudential Center publishes no price for any of them. Two things are published instead: a supply figure of over 3,500 parking spaces within 2 blocks, and two offers written for the owners of particular cars.
The table below is the whole published record for parking at 25 Lafayette Street, read on September 2026. Every cell carrying a figure names the issuer that published it.
| Lot or channel, as Prudential Center names it | Published price | Where it is bought | Published condition | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Parking Deck presented by Hyundai, 15 Lafayette St | No rate published, September 2026 | Prepaid, through the arena parking page link | Hyundai owners arriving at least one hour before doors open get reserved spaces on premier levels | Drivers who want the Level 4 skybridge into the arena |
| Green 3 & 4, 30-42 Lafayette St | No rate published, September 2026 | Prepaid, through the arena parking page link | Sits in the same run of street numbers as the Lafayette Street Entrance at 24-30 Lafayette St | Drivers walking in through the Lafayette Street door |
| Green Street Garage, 47-63 Green St | Complimentary for BMW owners, per Prudential Center; no rate for any other driver | Registration at bmwdevilsparking.com, code redeemed in the ParkMobile venue page | First come, first serve, per Prudential Center; passes available while supplies last, per BMW of North America | BMW owners who register well before the event |
| Green 7, 299 Mulberry St | No rate published, September 2026 | Prepaid, through the arena parking page link | The only one of the four lots on neither Lafayette Street nor Green Street | Drivers using the Citizens Tower door on Edison Place |
| Accessible spaces, lot not named by the arena | No rate published, September 2026 | prucenter.clickandpark.com, per the Prudential Center ADA guide | Requires a current state-issued disability placard or plate, filled first come, first served | Placard holders buying before the event date |
| Newark Penn Station, two blocks east per Prudential Center | Fare set by NJ Transit, PATH or Amtrak, not published by the arena | The rail operator running the service | The arena names the operators but gives no walking time and no last train | Anyone unwilling to buy a pass with no published rate |
Four lots on three Newark streets, and the space count the arena does publish
The Prudential Center parking page lists the Parking Deck presented by Hyundai at 15 Lafayette St, Green 3 & 4 at 30-42 Lafayette St, the Green Street Garage at 47-63 Green St, and Green 7 at 299 Mulberry St. Each entry carries an address and a map link. None carries a rate.
The supply figure appears twice in identical wording. The sentence runs: Prudential Center is one of the most easily accessible arenas in the country with over 3,500 parking spaces within 2 blocks, and it sits on the parking page and again on the directions page. Neither page says how many of those spaces are inside the four named lots.
The naming scheme leaks a map that does not exist in public. Three of the four lots are Green, numbered 3 and 4 and 7, while the arena’s A-Z guide calls the Hyundai deck Yellow Lot 10. Colors and numbers running to at least ten imply a lot map, and prucenter.com publishes none as of September 2026.
Ownership is the piece Newark’s arena never states either way. Barclays Center writes that it does not own or operate any garages, and the Yankees write that they neither control nor operate the lots around their stadium. No equivalent sentence exists on prucenter.com, so a driver cannot tell from the page whether the arena, a landlord or a third operator sets the number. How differently each building in the region handles that disclosure is set out in the transport overview for New York area stadiums and arenas.
What a BMW owner hands over to park for nothing at 47-63 Green Street
Complimentary parking for BMW Owners is redeemable in the Green Street Parking Garage just one block away, 47-63 Green Street, Newark, NJ 07102, and is available on a first come, first serve basis. That sentence is what the arena publishes, and it carries the only parking price of any kind on the page.
The registration link beside it does not stay on prucenter.com. It points at bmwdevilsparking.com, a site whose footer reads BMW of North America, LLC, where the offer is described as coming from the official luxury vehicle of the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center.
Behind the zero sits a marketing form. Eight fields are required before a code is issued, including a cell phone number and the BMW license plate number, and the visitor is asked to pick one of 30 named BMW dealers, from Rallye BMW to BMW of Springfield. Two consent boxes cover contact from BMW and from an authorized dealership.
Three conditions ride along with the price. You must arrive in your BMW to gain access to the lot. Tickets are not included and must be purchased separately. Passes are available while supplies last, and the page adds that if the BMW offer for the Green St Lot is showing as unavailable, that means this offer has sold out for that event.
In September 2026 the site returned a fourth line: parking codes for this offer are temporarily exhausted, with an invitation to register anyway and wait for an email. A price of zero that is out of stock is not a rate anyone can plan around, and it remains the only number the arena attaches to a parking space.
The Hyundai condition turns a 60 to 90 minute door window into a two hour arrival
Hyundai owners who have purchased parking within the Parking Deck presented by Hyundai and arrive at least one hour prior to doors opening receive access to reserved Hyundai-branded spaces on premier levels, per Prudential Center. The condition is an hour, and the anchor it hangs from is the door time.
The A-Z guide publishes that anchor as a range rather than a time: arena doors will open approximately 60-90 minutes prior to the start of an event but times may vary per event, and the reader is sent to the event page for the specific figure.
Stacking the two published numbers produces an arrival window nobody writes down. Arriving 60 minutes before a door that opens 60 to 90 minutes before the start lands a Hyundai driver at the deck between 120 minutes and 150 minutes ahead of the scheduled start, or 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes, as of September 2026. That 30 minute spread is not slack to spend; it is the width of the arena’s own door rule.
Two other clocks on the same pages are firmer. The A-Z guide lists Will Call as opening 3 hours prior to show time, gives the Ticketmaster Box Office as Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, and lists the Devils Den team store beside that box office as Monday to Friday, 11am to 4pm, with extended hours on game nights. The same guide lists warm-ups as ending approximately 20 minutes prior to puck drop at Devils games.
No clock at all is published for the lots. Neither an opening time nor a closing time appears for the Parking Deck presented by Hyundai, Green 3 & 4, the Green Street Garage or Green 7, checked September 2026. UBS Arena, by contrast, publishes three competing versions of when its Elmont lots open, and Newark publishes none.
Three web addresses sell the same Prudential Center parking pass
The button on the Prudential Center parking page reads Get Pre-Paid Parking and points at app.parkmobile.io. On the same domain, the A-Z guide says guests can purchase prepaid parking for events through Click and Park Reservations. The ADA guide sends placard holders to prucenter.clickandpark.com.
The terms of the pass live under only one of those three names. In its Click and Park entry, the A-Z guide publishes what a buyer is agreeing to: prepaid parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, all parking spaces are limited, there are no refunds or exchanges, each pass is valid only for the date and event shown on it, and the pass has to be presented at the designated parking area to get in.
Neither reservation site answered a plain read on September 2026. The ParkMobile venue page returned a 403 and prucenter.clickandpark.com returned a 403 from a CloudFront edge, so no rate can be quoted from either channel. The number is set per event inside a checkout, the same shape UBS Arena uses through Ticketmaster and Madison Square Garden uses through SpotHero.
Five driving routes into Newark that all finish on Lafayette Street
Prudential Center publishes five sets of driving directions, from the Turnpike South, the Turnpike North, the Garden State Parkway, New York City and Newark Airport. All five end with the same instruction, a turn onto Lafayette Street, which is also where three of the arena’s five doors are.
The exit numbers differ and they are specific. From the Turnpike South and from New York City, Exit 15W onto I-280 westbound, then Exit 15A toward Route 21 South. From the Turnpike North, Exit 14 toward I-78, then roughly 3 miles on US-1-9 to Route 21 McCarter Highway. From the Garden State Parkway, Exit 145 to Route 280 East, then Exit 15, signed Route 21 Downtown/Arts.
The doors carry street numbers too. The entrances map gives the Lafayette Street Entrance as 24-30 Lafayette St, the VIP West Entrance as 18 Lafayette St and the M&M’s Tower Entrance as 25 Lafayette St, with the VIP East Entrance at 149 Mulberry St and Citizens Tower at 60 Edison Pl.
Read against the lot addresses, the pairing becomes arithmetic rather than guesswork. Green 3 & 4 at 30-42 Lafayette St falls in the same run of numbers as the Lafayette Street Entrance at 24-30. The Parking Deck presented by Hyundai at 15 Lafayette St faces the VIP West Entrance at 18. Green 7 at 299 Mulberry St is the outlier, north of both Mulberry Street doors. The arena publishes no walking time from any lot, so street numbers are the only distance its own pages supply.
A main entrance that only exists if you parked in the Hyundai deck
Four main entrances are counted in the arena’s A-Z guide, and one of them is the Hyundai Skybridge connecting the Hyundai Parking Deck, which the same guide calls Yellow Lot 10, to the arena at Level 4 of the deck. The entrances map on prucenter.com lists five building entrances, checked September 2026, and the skybridge is not among them.
The disagreement matters to a driver more than to anyone walking from a train. On the A-Z count, a quarter of the main entrances is reachable only by parking in a deck named after a car brand. On the map, that entrance is absent, and the five points shown are Lafayette Street, VIP West, M&M’s Tower, VIP East and Citizens Tower.
Brand names run through the doors as well as the deck. The A-Z guide writes BMW VIP East for the northeast door that the entrances map calls simply VIP East Entrance, and the ADA guide still labels one floor Infiniti Suite Level 1. The rideshare page names Lyft as an official partner of Prudential Center.
Plymouth Rock Assurance appears on both the parking page and the directions page, with a Get Home Safe taxi fare reimbursement program and a Prudential Center Assurance Plus Endorsement that adds a ride home from any event at the arena. Counting it, three car brands, a rideshare company and an insurer have written terms on the driving pages. A driver without one of those relationships has an address and no number.
Prudential Center counts its parking spaces and four other arenas do not
Over 3,500 parking spaces within 2 blocks is a figure no other arena in this group puts on its own site. Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and UBS Arena publish no total count, and UBS Arena publishes counts only for accessible spaces. Those three publish a booking partner instead.
Where the region’s venues really differ is over who is allowed to state the number. Citi Field publishes $40 for a prepaid pass and $50 on arrival, which makes the Mets their own price setter. At Yankee Stadium the club states it neither controls nor operates the lots, and City Parking, the operator designated by New York City, publishes $49 self park at four named facilities and counts over 9,000 spaces across seven garages and lots.
UBS Arena has no base rate either, and the only dollar figures attached to it are a concert surcharge of $5 to $10 at the lots and a $125 charge on exit from the Belmont Park Garage without a prepaid pass, which the New York Islanders publish rather than the arena. Barclays Center lists nine independently operated Brooklyn garages with addresses and no prices, and states plainly that it owns and operates none of them.
A winner can be declared here, and it is not the Newark arena. For a driver who wants a number before leaving home, Citi Field and Yankee Stadium are the two venues in this group that supply one from a named issuer, on the criteria of published rate and identified operator. For a Prudential Center visitor the only issuer-published number is BMW’s zero, and it applies to a car most drivers do not own.
Conditions printed on a prepaid Prudential Center parking pass
Eight conditions are published for parking at 25 Lafayette Street, checked September 2026, and each one moves a decision a driver would otherwise make on arrival.
- The pass is event-locked. Each Parking Pass is only valid for the date and event shown on the pass, per the Prudential Center A-Z guide, so a rescheduled concert is not covered by the purchase made for the original date.
- There is no refund route. There are no refunds or exchanges, in the same guide’s wording, which leaves the risk of a cancelled plan entirely with the buyer.
- Buying early is not the same as buying a space. Prepaid parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and all parking spaces are limited, per Prudential Center, which is a statement about supply rather than about price.
- The BMW space is capped twice over. It is first come, first serve, per Prudential Center, and available while supplies last, per BMW of North America, which reports the offer selling out event by event.
- Accessible spaces are sold, not held. Designated spaces, including van-accessible spaces, require a current state-issued disability placard or license plate and are filled first come, first served, per the Prudential Center ADA guide, which routes the purchase to prucenter.clickandpark.com.
- The accessible drop-off is a fixed corner. Pick-up and drop-off for guests with special needs is at the arena entrance at the corner of Mulberry and Lafayette Streets, with ramps into the M&M’s Tower.
- The smoke-free perimeter reaches past the door. Prudential Center is a smoke and tobacco-free arena including electronic cigarettes, covering all indoor and outdoor areas within 25 feet from every entrance and exit, so the last cigarette happens at the lot.
- Cash keeps shrinking, and parking is not on the list. Cash will not be accepted at concession stands, retail locations, or the box office, per the Prudential Center entry policy, which does not name the parking lots at all.
Where a Prudential Center parking plan fails between the Turnpike and the barrier
Failure on this route is rarely about traffic on I-280. It comes from a plan built on a number the arena never published, and it shows up at four points, each of them documented on prucenter.com in September 2026.
The first is the BMW code. Registration and redemption are two steps on two different sites, and the code is redeemed inside the ParkMobile venue page under Filters and Access Codes, per BMW of North America. A driver who registers on the way to Newark can arrive holding an email and no space, because the offer sells out event by event.
The second is the Hyundai hour. Reserved spaces on the premier levels require arrival at least one hour before doors, and doors are given only as a 60 to 90 minute window before the start, so a Hyundai owner planning against the start time alone can miss the condition by half an hour.
The third is the wrong number on the right street. Green 3 & 4 at 30-42 Lafayette St and the Parking Deck presented by Hyundai at 15 Lafayette St stand on the same street, and all five sets of arena driving directions finish with a turn onto it. A pass names a lot, a street sign names a street, and only the address separates 15 from 30-42.
The fourth is treating the no re-entry rule as something that stops at the door. The arena has a NO RE-ENTRY policy during events, with certain exceptions such as a medical necessity, so a bag left in a car at Green 7 on 299 Mulberry St stays in the car. The alternative on offer is a storage locker outside the M&M’s Tower, at $8 to $10, a price the arena publishes.
Editorial note: prices, schedules, and policies on this page were checked against the official sources named in the text in September 2026. Venues, airports, and transit agencies change them without notice; confirm with the operator before you travel. Westchester Ride does not sell tickets or parking and does not accept payment to rank any operator.
Questions drivers ask before they park in downtown Newark
The six answers below come from prucenter.com and from BMW of North America, read on September 2026.
Prudential Center publishes no parking rate. Its parking page lists four lots with addresses, the Parking Deck presented by Hyundai, Green 3 & 4, the Green Street Garage and Green 7, and attaches no price to any of them. The only price on that page is complimentary parking for BMW owners.
In the Green Street Parking Garage at 47-63 Green Street, one block from the arena, on a first come, first serve basis, per Prudential Center. The code is issued after registration at bmwdevilsparking.com and redeemed in the ParkMobile venue page. BMW of North America states that passes are available while supplies last.
No opening or closing time is published for any of the four lots, checked September 2026. The only related clock is the door window in the A-Z guide, approximately 60 to 90 minutes before the start of an event, alongside Will Call opening 3 hours prior to show time.
Three addresses appear on prucenter.com for the same purchase. The parking page button points at app.parkmobile.io, the A-Z guide names Click and Park Reservations, and the ADA guide sends buyers to prucenter.clickandpark.com. The published terms include no refunds or exchanges and a pass valid only for the event shown.
Yes, and it is sold rather than held. Designated spaces, including van-accessible spaces, require a current state-issued disability placard or license plate and are filled first come, first served, per the Prudential Center ADA guide. No space count is published and the purchase runs through prucenter.clickandpark.com.
Over 3,500 parking spaces within 2 blocks, per Prudential Center on both its parking page and its directions page. The arena does not say how many of those belong to the four lots it names, who operates them, or what any of them cost. Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center publish no count.
A published price of zero for one car brand is still the only parking number Newark’s arena will put in writing.
