Elmont-UBS Arena Station is a Zone 4 stop that sits 10 to 15 minutes on foot from the arena doors, by the venue’s own measure. The same venue draws a second railroad station on its own site map and never mentions it in any page of text. This guide separates what UBS Arena writes about rail from what it only draws, because the two do not match.

The campus map carries a station the arena never describes
UBS Arena publishes a campus map that labels QUEENS VILLAGE STATION, a Long Island Rail Road stop west of the building, and no page of prose on the site mentions it. Distance, event day service and whether any shuttle reaches it are all unpublished, so the alternative exists on paper and nowhere else.
It is not the only feature in that position. The same map labels DIAMOND PLUS PARKING and PADDOCK PARK, and neither name appears on the parking page, on plan your trip or on the tenant’s pages. A map is a source, and this one publishes an operation the prose does not.
| Feature | Where it appears | What the arena publishes about it |
|---|---|---|
| Elmont-UBS Arena Station | Map and plan your trip | Zone 4, two-way service, 10 to 15 minute walk or free shuttle |
| Queens Village Station | Map only | Nothing |
| Diamond Plus Parking | Map only | Nothing |
| Paddock Park | Map only | Nothing |
| Shuttle pick-up and drop-off | Map and plan your trip | Runs between the arena, Emerald Parking and the station |
| MTA and NICE bus stops | Map and plan your trip | Three lines, no frequencies or fares |
What the arena does publish about the station at its door
The published description is short and useful. Elmont-UBS Arena Station is priced as Zone 4, sits north of campus, and reaches the building by a walk the venue gives as 10 to 15 minutes or by a free shuttle. The sustainability page adds that the station provides two-way service, westbound and eastbound, for event attendees, according to UBS Arena.
Two-way service matters more than it sounds. A stop that only runs in one direction on event days sends every departing passenger to a connection, and the venue states plainly that this one does not. Whether that service is frequent enough to absorb an arena emptying at once is a different question, and one the arena does not answer.
Three bus lines also reach the campus, the MTA Q82, the MTA Q2 and the NICE Bus N6. The map marks one MTA BUS STOP and two separate NICE BUS STOP points. Frequencies, fares and exact stop locations are unpublished, which puts the bus in the same category as the second station: drawn, named, and not explained.
The shuttle is published on one page and missing from the page a driver reads
Plan your trip states that free shuttles run between UBS Arena, Emerald Parking and Elmont-UBS Arena Station. The parking page does not mention any general shuttle, and the parking page is what a driver opens. The map settles the geography by labelling SHUTTLE PICK-UP and SHUTTLE DROP-OFF beside the station, so the service exists and its description simply sits on the wrong page.
What no page settles is the timetable. Frequency, hours of operation and the last departure after an event are unpublished as of September 2026. A rail passenger planning the return leg has a published walk of 10 to 15 minutes and an unpublished shuttle, which makes the walk the only part of the trip that can be planned with a number. The lot-by-lot picture, including the opening rule the arena anchors to an hour it never prints, is in our UBS Arena parking guide.
What the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will not let this page print
Fares, timetables and the last train sit outside the venue’s control, because the Metropolitan Transportation Authority publishes them, and its site returned an access error to every automated route tried in September 2026, from this machine and from a second address. No fare or schedule of its own appears anywhere on the arena site, which refers riders to TrainTime.
So this page does the same. Zone 4 appears here because UBS Arena publishes the zone; the fare attached to it does not, and neither does any departure time. Every venue guide on this site handles unreadable transit data the same way, including our Atlantic Terminal guide for Barclays Center and our Mets-Willets Point guide for Citi Field, where the same authority publishes ride times through the venue and nothing else.
One arrival the venue does publish is unusual enough to keep: it directs Connecticut visitors to take the ferry from Bridgeport to Port Jefferson and connect there to the Long Island Rail Road. That is the only cross-Sound route on the site, and no fare, crossing time or connection time is given for any leg of it.
Six published details for a rail arrival in Elmont
- The station is priced as Zone 4 by the arena, which is citable, while the fare for that zone is not published by the arena and cannot be read from the transit authority.
- The walk from platform to building is given as 10 to 15 minutes, the only door-to-door figure the venue publishes for any mode.
- Event-day service runs in both directions, westbound and eastbound, per the arena’s sustainability page.
- The rideshare zone sits on the north side and the arena gives it two descriptions, one naming Cross Island Parkway Exit 26D only and one adding Green Road. Green Road is the name a driver sees on the map.
- No taxi stand, dispatch or telephone number appears anywhere on the arena site. In a venue with no subway and one approach road, a rail passenger has no published fallback.
- The campus map is vintage 2022 to 2023, since it still labels Belmont Park Village as coming soon. Treat every feature on it as a drawing rather than a current state, including the second station.
- None of the five hotels the venue lists is walkable from the station, or from anywhere in Elmont: the closest sits 6.8 miles away and the farthest 17.5 miles, all of them clustered around JFK and Queens, and none is published as running a shuttle.
- The only rideshare incentive the venue publishes is a code rather than a partnership: use code UBSARENA for 50% off your first 2 rides, up to $10 per ride.
Errors that strand a rail passenger in Elmont
- Planning around Queens Village Station because it appears on the map. The arena publishes nothing about its distance, its event-day service or any connection to the campus.
- Assuming the free shuttle runs after the event. Its existence is published and its last departure is not, so the 10 to 15 minute walk is the only leg with a number attached.
- Looking for the shuttle on the parking page. It is described on plan your trip and absent from the page most drivers read.
- Expecting a subway. No New York subway line reaches Elmont and the arena never mentions one.
- Counting on a taxi rank at the end of the night. None is published, unlike Yankee Stadium, which names both a car service dispatch and an accessible dispatch line.
- Carrying a backpack because the trip is by train. Backpacks are prohibited at any size and the bag rules are set out in our UBS Arena bag guide.
- Booking a group coach without notice. Buses and limousines require email coordination no less than 72 hours before an event, entering by Gate 5 Road.
Editorial note: prices, schedules, and policies on this page were checked against the official sources named in the text in September 2026. Venues, airports, and transit agencies change them without notice; confirm with the operator before you travel. Westchester Ride does not sell tickets or parking and does not accept payment to rank any operator.
Elmont-UBS Arena Station, which the arena prices as Zone 4 and places north of campus, a 10 to 15 minute walk from the building or reachable by free shuttle, checked September 2026. The arena’s campus map also labels a second stop, Queens Village Station, that no page of text explains.
Yes. The arena’s sustainability page states that Elmont-UBS Arena Station provides two-way service, westbound and eastbound, for event attendees, checked September 2026. Frequency and the time of the last train are published by the transit authority rather than the arena, and are not reproduced here.
Ten to 15 minutes is the walk the venue gives, with a free shuttle between the station, Emerald Parking and the building, checked September 2026. That walk is the only door-to-door figure the venue publishes for any mode of arrival, and the shuttle timetable is unpublished.
A free shuttle is published on the arena’s plan your trip page and marked on its campus map, but its frequency, hours and last departure are unpublished as of September 2026. The parking page, which most drivers read, does not mention a general shuttle at all.
The arena publishes the zone and not the fare: Elmont-UBS Arena Station is Zone 4, checked September 2026. Fares are published by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, whose site returned an access error to every automated route tried, so no figure appears on this page.
No. No New York subway line reaches Elmont and the arena does not mention the subway on any page checked in September 2026. The published options are the Long Island Rail Road to Elmont-UBS Arena Station, three bus lines, a single rideshare zone and five parking lots.
A venue that draws a second railroad station on its own map and writes nothing about it has made a choice about which arrival it wants to support. Elmont supports one platform well, with a zone, a direction and a walk in minutes, and leaves everything beside it as an outline. The passenger who reads only the map will plan a trip the arena has never described.
