Hotels Near Westchester County Airport (HPN): Shuttles, Parking Rates, and Early Flights

What a hotel near Westchester County Airport can and cannot save you

Westchester County Airport charges $36.47 per calendar day to park in the enclosed garage across from the main terminal. Its Long Term Lot costs $20.88 per day once a stay passes 72 hours and is booked online. One hotel near HPN publishes a nightly parking rate: Sonesta White Plains Downtown, at $21.

Hotels near HPN: the park-and-fly math | WestchesterRide

Those two rates are the fixed points, and the hotel side of the search supplies exactly one number to set against them. At Sonesta White Plains Downtown, self-parking is published at $21 per night and valet at $31 per night, checked August 2026, which lands the hotel’s published nightly rate 12 cents above the daily rate the airport charges in its own long-term lot. No hotel in the ring publishes a park-and-fly price, meaning a rate for the days a car sits in a lot while its owner is in the air rather than asleep upstairs. This page quotes only what could be read on each issuer’s own site in August 2026, which is why the Marriott properties and Hilton Westchester appear here with no shuttle status, no mileage and no car-service fare attached to them.

  • One shuttle in the ring reaches a morning flight: Sonesta White Plains Downtown publishes a complimentary run to Westchester County Airport daily from 5:00 a.m. to midnight, departing every 30 minutes, checked August 2026.
  • Weekday hours only at Hyatt House White Plains, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for a courtesy shuttle within a five-mile radius that includes HPN.
  • Covered parking in the Sonesta garage is $21 per night self-park and $31 valet, with unlimited in-and-out privileges, which is 12 cents a night above the $20.88 the airport charges per day in its Long Term Lot.
  • No park-and-fly price exists in the published set. The parking offer listed under the code PARK carries neither a published price nor a published night count.
  • A week in the airport’s own Long Term Lot is $146.16 at the published $20.88 daily rate, against $255.29 in the garage.
  • The terminal never closes, so a room near HPN buys sleep and a parking space, not an earlier way into the building.

The two parking prices any hotel arrangement has to beat at HPN

Two published rates cover the airport’s own parking, and no others exist: $4.38 per half hour, $8.76 per hour, and a maximum of $36.47 per calendar day in the enclosed garage at Westchester County Airport, checked August 2026. The airport’s designated operator posts the same figures and adds the one that matters for a vacation, a Long Term Lot at $20.88 per day after the 72-hour mark.

Three conditions travel with those numbers, and all three come from the issuers themselves. The designated operator, Westchester County Airport Parking, publishes that “customers must book the Long Term Lot online in order to receive the discounted rate,” so the $20.88 does not exist at the gate. It also publishes that “all payments must be made through debit or credit cards. No cash accepted.” And the airport publishes that “the calendar day begins when the ticket is pulled,” which means the meter runs in 24-hour blocks set by your arrival time rather than resetting at midnight. The lot itself sits “approximately three-quarters of a mile before the terminal building on the airport access road,” and its designated operator publishes a free shuttle for Long Term Lot parkers between that lot and the terminal, starting at 5 a.m. and running until the last flight of the night, checked October 2026. Our breakdown of HPN garage and long-term parking rates covers how those tiers stack up on their own.

Multiply and the targets are plain. A week costs $255.29 in the garage and $146.16 in the Long Term Lot. Four days costs $145.88 and $83.52. Two days, too short for the long-term rate to apply, costs $72.94 either way. A hotel has to undercut those, and one published rate in the ring comes close enough to matter: the $21 per night Sonesta White Plains Downtown charges for self-parking, checked August 2026.

Which hotels near HPN publish a shuttle on their own pages

Two hotels near Westchester County Airport publish a courtesy shuttle to the terminal on their own brand pages, and the hours separate them completely. A shuttle without published hours cannot be planned around, which is the practical difference between the two.

Sonesta White Plains Downtown publishes “complimentary shuttle service to and from Westchester County Airport (HPN),” describes the airport as “only 7.5 miles” away, and states the hours plainly: “available daily from 5:00 a.m. to midnight,” checked August 2026. Two operating details on the same page decide whether it works for a flight. The shuttle “departs every 30 minutes,” and airport pickup “typically takes approximately 15 minutes” once a guest calls the hotel from baggage claim. Two figures for the same trip sit on that page, 7.5 miles beside the shuttle and 8 miles in the location description, so neither one reads as a measured driving distance. It lists a parking offer under the code PARK as well, with no published price and no count of parking nights included.

Hyatt House White Plains publishes a courtesy shuttle within a five-mile radius that includes HPN and asks guests to “contact the Front Desk to schedule shuttle arrangements,” with hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, read on the brand page in August 2026. That window covers a lunchtime departure and very little else. The rest of the ring, the Marriott properties and Hilton Westchester, sits behind brand pages that refuse an automated read, so no shuttle status, mileage or fare from them is repeated here. A hotel that does not publish a shuttle on a page you can open is not a hotel without a shuttle. It is a phone call to the front desk before the room is booked.

What Sonesta publishes about parking, and what it still does not

The parking line on the Sonesta White Plains Downtown page is the only hotel price in the HPN ring that can be set against the airport’s own. Its own page lists covered parking with unlimited in-and-out privileges, self-parking at $21 per night, valet at $31 per night, and valet service staffed 24 hours a day, checked August 2026. Put the self-park figure beside the $20.88 the airport’s designated operator charges per day in the Long Term Lot and the gap is 12 cents a night, the closest two published rates come to each other anywhere in this comparison.

That rate does not cover the flight. The $21 is published as a nightly parking charge for a guest, and no rule is published for a car that stays in the garage for six days while its owner is away. The offer that would answer the question, listed under the code PARK, carries no published price and no published night count, so the one product in the set that looks like park-and-fly cannot be priced from the page at all. Anyone planning to leave a car behind has to get that arrangement from the front desk in writing, because a rate published for occupied rooms is not a rate published for empty ones.

No car-service fare appears anywhere on this page, for a related reason. The Marriott properties near HPN and Hilton Westchester keep their transportation details on brand pages that could not be opened at the source in August 2026, and a fare nobody can re-read is not a fare worth printing. The priced options that survive the test are the two the airport publishes, the one Sonesta publishes, and the $3.00 the county has charged on the Bee-Line since January 4, 2026.

Seven days at HPN, priced from what each issuer publishes

A week away is the trip where these choices separate. Every figure below multiplies a rate its issuer publishes, nothing here is estimated, and the rows without a price are the rows where the issuer publishes none.

The break-even: which published parking rate wins at HPN, and from what day

Divide the published rates into each other and the crossing points fall out cleanly. Westchester County Airport charges $36.47 per calendar day in the garage and $20.88 per day in the Long Term Lot past the 72-hour mark, a gap of $15.59 for every day of a trip and $109.13 across a week. The one hotel rate that can be checked at the source lands between the two and almost exactly on the lot: $21.00 per night for self-parking at Sonesta White Plains Downtown, checked August 2026, is $147.00 for seven nights against $146.16.

The 72-hour rule decides the arithmetic more than the choice of lot does. A two-day trip never reaches the lower rate, so both airport options cost $72.94 and the garage wins on the strength of sitting across from the main terminal. A four-day trip costs $145.88 in the garage against $83.52 in the Long Term Lot, a difference of $62.36 earned by parking three-quarters of a mile out and riding the free shuttle that the operator runs from 5 a.m. until the last flight. From day four onward the Long Term Lot booked online is the cheapest published way to leave a car at Westchester County Airport, and nothing on the hotel side undercuts it.

A hotel rate only enters the comparison for someone buying the room regardless. Four nights of self-parking at Sonesta costs $84.00 against $83.52 in the lot, 48 cents apart, and seven nights costs $147.00 against $146.16, which is a rounding error rather than a saving. A room near HPN actually buys the drive you skip the night before and a space with unlimited in-and-out privileges, per Sonesta. It does not buy a lower rate for the days the car sits there alone, because no hotel in the ring publishes one.

One reading is still open, and it deserves a phone call. Westchester County Airport Parking publishes the Long Term rate as $20.88 per day “after the 72 hour mark,” which can mean the whole stay reprices or only the days past the third. Under the second reading a week costs $192.93 rather than $146.16, a difference of $46.77 on one sentence. The airport publishes a parking line at (914) 946-0843, and our seven-day HPN parking comparison tracks the same ambiguity.

The 4 a.m. problem that no published HPN hotel shuttle solves

Two published sentences from Westchester County Airport frame the early-flight case. The main terminal “is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” and passengers “are encouraged to arrive two hours before their scheduled departure time.” Set those beside the shuttle hours and the case collapses.

A 6:00 a.m. departure puts the airport’s own advice at 4:00 a.m. at the terminal. The earliest published hotel shuttle in the HPN ring is Sonesta’s first run at 5:00 a.m., which cannot deliver anyone before 5:00 a.m. no matter how short the 7.5 miles are, and the hotel publishes an airport pickup that takes approximately 15 minutes once you call from baggage claim. A shuttle that starts at 5:00 a.m. satisfies the two-hour rule only for departures at 7:00 a.m. or later. Hyatt House White Plains, starting at 8:00 a.m. on weekdays, clears nothing before 10:00 a.m. and nothing at all on a Saturday. For the properties whose pages could not be read at the source, the first run is unknown rather than absent, which makes it a phone call rather than an assumption.

A room near HPN therefore does not buy an early entry. The terminal is already open at 3:30 a.m. for the driver who came straight from home, and it will be open at 2:00 a.m. as well. What the hotel buys is the night drive you do not make and a place the car can sit, and for the first bank of departures the ride to the terminal still has to be a prearranged car or a taxi booked by phone. Readers coming from the north or east can price that leg against driving in through our Armonk to HPN transportation options or the White Plains to HPN connections.

Details that change the arithmetic around Westchester County Airport

Six published conditions move the numbers above by more than most travelers expect.

  • The $20.88 rate does not exist at the gate. Booking online is the only route to it: the operator publishes that “customers must book the Long Term Lot online in order to receive the discounted rate,” so arriving unbooked means $36.47 per day for the same space.
  • Cash is refused. Westchester County Airport Parking publishes that “all payments must be made through debit or credit cards. No cash accepted,” which rules out the return-trip habit of emptying a wallet at the exit booth.
  • The parking clock is set by your arrival, not the calendar. “The calendar day begins when the ticket is pulled,” per Westchester County Airport, so an 11:00 p.m. entry does not burn a day before midnight.
  • Bee-Line route 12 links the terminal to downtown White Plains for $3.00, the base fare the Westchester County Department of Transportation has charged since January 4, 2026, paid with OMNY or exact cash, since the buses stopped accepting MetroCard on July 20, 2026. It stops “on the island in front of the main terminal.” A guest at a downtown hotel keeps a $3.00 fallback for the hours when a shuttle is not running.
  • No taxi can be flagged down at HPN. The airport publishes that “taxi cruising for passengers and the hailing of unoccupied taxis are not permitted at the airport,” so the ride out of the terminal gets arranged by phone before you land.
  • Whoever collects you cannot wait at the door. The airport’s published curb rule is that “standing vehicles will be ticketed, and unattended vehicles will be promptly towed away,” which is why a hotel shuttle circles rather than parks.

Where an HPN hotel booking goes wrong

Five failure modes account for most of the trouble, and each one traces back to a figure a hotel or the airport does not publish.

Booking a room the night before a 6:00 a.m. flight on the assumption that a shuttle exists at 4:00 a.m. is the expensive one, since the earliest published first run in the set is Sonesta’s at 5:00 a.m. Assuming the $20.88 daily rate applies from the first hour is the second, because it turns a four-day stay from $83.52 into $145.88 when the booking was never made online. Reading Sonesta’s $21 per night as a park-and-fly rate is the third, since the hotel publishes it as a nightly parking charge and publishes nothing about a car left behind during a flight. Treating an unpublished shuttle as a shuttle that does not exist is the fourth, and it applies to every property whose page you could not open. And planning to walk in from the Long Term Lot is the fifth: it sits three-quarters of a mile before the terminal, and its operator publishes a free shuttle for parkers from 5 a.m. until the last flight of the night.

Editorial note: prices, schedules, and policies on this page were checked against the official sources named in the text in August 2026. Venues, airports, and transit agencies change them without notice; confirm with the operator before you travel. Westchester Ride does not sell tickets or parking and does not accept payment to rank any operator.

Frequently asked questions about hotels near Westchester County Airport

Six questions that recur about the HPN hotel ring, answered only from what each hotel, the airport, or its parking operator published in August 2026.

Which hotels near Westchester County Airport have a free shuttle?

Two publish one on their own pages, checked August 2026: Sonesta White Plains Downtown, which runs daily from 5 a.m. until midnight, departs every 30 minutes and puts the airport at 7.5 miles; and Hyatt House White Plains, within a five-mile radius, weekday hours of 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Neither the Marriott properties nor Hilton Westchester could be read at the source, so their shuttle service is unconfirmed rather than absent.

Is it cheaper to leave the car at a hotel near HPN than to park at the airport?

On published rates the two land within a dollar over a week, checked August 2026. Sonesta White Plains Downtown lists self-parking at $21 per night, which is $147.00 for seven nights, against $146.16 in the airport Long Term Lot at $20.88 per day booked online. The hotel rate is published for a guest parking overnight, and no hotel near the airport publishes a park-and-fly rate for a car left behind during a flight.

How much does a week of parking cost at Westchester County Airport?

Seven days works out to $255.29 in the enclosed garage at the published $36.47 per calendar day, and $146.16 in the Long Term Lot at $20.88 per day, checked August 2026. The lower rate applies after the 72-hour mark, per the airport’s designated operator, and the booking has to be made online to get it.

Can a hotel shuttle get me to HPN for a 6 a.m. flight?

No shuttle published in the HPN hotel set can, checked August 2026. Arriving two hours before departure, as Westchester County Airport advises, puts a 6:00 a.m. flight at 4:00 a.m., and the earliest published first run is Sonesta’s at 5:00 a.m. That start time satisfies the two-hour advice only from about 7:00 a.m. departures onward.

How far are the hotels from Westchester County Airport?

Only Sonesta White Plains Downtown publishes a distance on its own page, and it publishes two of them, checked August 2026: 7.5 miles beside the airport shuttle and 8 miles in its location description. The Hyatt House page publishes a five-mile shuttle radius instead of a mileage, and the Marriott and Hilton pages near HPN could not be read at the source, so no distance from them appears here.

What does a car service from a hotel to HPN cost?

No fare appears here, because no hotel page near HPN that could be opened at the source in August 2026 publishes one. What is published is the alternative: Bee-Line route 12 charges $3.00 into downtown White Plains, paid with OMNY or exact cash, per the Westchester County Department of Transportation since January 4, 2026, and Westchester County Airport states that hailing an unoccupied taxi at the terminal is not permitted, so the ride out gets arranged by phone.

The search for a hotel near HPN is really a search for a cheaper way to leave a car, and four published numbers answer it without a room rate deciding anything: $36.47 a day in the garage, $20.88 a day in the Long Term Lot booked online, $21.00 a night in the Sonesta garage, and $3.00 on the Bee-Line. Three of the four come from the airport and the county. The fourth is the only hotel price in the ring that can be checked at the source.

Price the parking first. The room is a sleep decision, not a parking one.
